About Calvary Chapel Heartland
A Place to Learn and Grow
Heartland is a church whose goal is to simply “Love God and Love People”. We get that purpose from the Bible in Matthew 22 where it says, “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” and Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Therefore, this is what we strive for …. to love like Jesus loves.
We understand that in order to love others like Christ loves us, we must have personal relationship with Him. Romans 10:9 tells us,”that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Our goal at Heartland is to see people commit their lives to Jesus Christ, and to see them grow in their personal relationship with our Lord and Savior through simple and sound teaching of the Bible; chapter by chapter and verse by verse!
