At Calvary Chapel Heartland, we offer different classrooms for all ages of children during our services.
We have a childcare in our nursery room for newborns and one year olds. We also have a nursing mothers’ room available where mothers may comfortably sit and watch/listen to the service while nursing their infants.
We offer interactive play for the Toddlers from walking through Pre-K. This class focuses mainly on sharing and building relationships. The children promote to the next level after they begin Kindergarten.
We offer a Vacation Bible School for the Elementary children (K-5). The children begin the morning worshipping with the adults, then are released to their class where they are taught a scripture-based lesson, have a snack, make a related craft and (as weather permits) play outside each Sunday. The lessons for the children’s ministry are from Calvary Curriculum. We are using the Children’s Curriculum (Original) which offers 325 lessons covering both the Old and New Testaments.
When children reach Grade 6, they move into the main service full-time with the adults.
People who desire to help in the Children’s Ministry are required to attend our fellowship for at least six months and complete an application with background check.
